I dunno, maybe I'm just numb or something but 2008 feels just well, 2008. Nothing more or less to it. Sure, it's Os and I guess somewhere I do feel like I've never been this scared. Yet somehow, it feels so far away. I guess reality hasn't settled it yet.
Honestly, I don't really know how I got through 2007. I remember last year about this time how scared I was and wondering if I'd make it through. In short, I was a wreck. Again, somehow I'm sitting here typing this out. Must've done something right, yes? *Shrugs*
Looking back at 2007, I guess it was a good year. Frankly, it was one of the calmer years in Secondary school...
There's alot of room for screw ups, careless emotions and reckless behaviour in 2008 but there's also alot of room for growth, for improvement, for learning, right? It's always easy to look at the bad but for now I'll focus on the good. What does help does looking at the bad do anyway? I'll look forward to cosplaying with my friends, going high about the sillest things from the most pointless conversations, trips to Macs or KFC to rant or just to enjoy each other's company, protecting all of you to the best of my abilities, CNY with my family, my cousin's wedding, more anime (haha), and of course, growing in God's strength <3
So go into 2008 head on. Because you'll never be alone. Not when you have God and your friends. Like me! :D

Anyway, I went out last minute with Diane and Fan yesterday, 'cause today's Diane's birthday. Fan called up to ask yesterday morning and somehow my mum said yes. The best part was that I didn't want to go. Heh. Lazy la. Plus got so much work to do. >< Ended up getting lectured too 'cause my brother was in trouble. *Rolls eyes*
We went to watch National Treasure: Book of Secrets at PS. I watched the first one so the second one was so-so. I think Bleach made me a little immune to action and violence. That said, I jumped at a few scenes. Lol. Heh >< Wasn't really concentrating anyway. Got disturbed during the movie D<
After that the 3 of us walked to Kino. Diane is super amusing. Haha. At Kino, I found that THEY HAVE IT. Bleach's All Colour But The Black Artbook. *Glee!* :D It's $30.70 and I had less than $10 x_x *Faints* Diane and Fan didn't have money either. *Cries* Now I have to save like $90+. Oh dear, for cosplay also. Nyeh ): I'd better pick a cheaper character. >< Plus, pressies and for the other bits and pieces I end up giving into. /: >< T.T
I also found that the Japanese manga is 1/3 the cost of English manga. Translation is expensive! 0_o One more reason to learn Japanese! :D
Oh, I also received a postcard from LP (through Fan) and Fan's Christmas card. Diane gave me a candy cane. ^^ Thanks guys. I'm sorry I'm too lazy to take pictures. Fan put a picture of me on my card anyway. )< I didn't know you took it okay! Was busy with Geog. ^^ And LP's postcard was difficult to take outta the envelope.

Although, that can't beat homework submissions and the A Math retest. *Dies* I'm glad to say that I've progressed with my Art though. ^^ Before going out, I finally started on my canvas. Albeit little. (Always seems to be the case) I made my face enlongated and Joy a little too chubby. *Fail* Ah wells.
The trip to the library proved to be a productive one. The amount of Warhol books they had to loan was quite dissappointing but I found most of the stuff I needed. I think I borrowed all the books that they had on Warhol. Heh. >< Out of curiousity, I went up to the Lee Kong Chian library to see what they had. It's a haven there. I almost fainted. Lol. Warhol books were a plenty. All in mint condition. x_x They have one about 3 Physics textbooks thick but it was very comprehensive and had a ton of pictures. Gah. I just stood there helplessly. /: They also has iSH magazines. <3 Nyeh.
I decided to have my exhibition thing at red dot Traffic buliding. I can't believe I didn't consider it till today. Too pictures of it's exterior to many staring office workers. It was lunch time. /: Then my mum insisted that I have lunch with her so I did. Hokkien mee was good but it was huge. ><
My mum left for Clementi to get some material for her sewing while I went to do some other stuff. Stopped by Popular on the way back. Vampire Knight 5! <3 Heh. :D I'm late but better than never! 'Sides, stupid Jasmine was spoling it for me yesterday. T.T Also, she discovered the joy of tormenting me.

Seriously people, ANDY WARHOL. Set up an online gallery and life would be so much easier. I'll be heading towards the Central Lending Library today. They seem to have quite a few books on him. Also, their Reference Library has a ton of books on him. Sadly though, they are only for reference. *Dies* x_x What's wrong with you people?! Okay, I shall not rant.
Anyway, so tomorrow morning'll dedicated to that. After that, it'll be gallery scouting for a while. Prolly Opera Art Gallery. Then Kinokuniya! ^^ I wanna see if they have the Bleach All Colour but the Black Artbook <3 LP and Fan want to come over to my house if the weather is good. They're still obsessed about capturing the sunset from my house. -.-

Meh, today's been rather unproductive. Other than doing a tiny bit of my journal, zlich. *Fails* This time next week, I'd be Sec 4 and I'm still slacking my ass off. *Sigh* Ah wells.
I guess it's 'cause I don't really feel so well. I almost fainted and puked on the way home today. >< Heh. Spent half an afternoon snoozing but it didn't seem to help. Even as I type this, I feel a slight headache residing somewhere. /: I'm suddenly hungry too. x_x *Strongly dislikes this time of the month* Ah wells.
Spent most of today out with my mum. The only major occurance was that I cut my hair. I, being the boring person I am, got the hairdresser to cut the same style. Although my fringe remains the same. Heh. The idea was so that it's be long enough to tie but not long enough to plait. The hairdresser actually asked me to look through some Japanese hairstyle magazine. The first thing I thought of was Shu En. Lol. Whenever she wants a new hairstyle, she'd bring one of them. Bring Half Geog, she'd sit behind with the rest and look through it, trying to find a suitable hairstyle. Nerd and Phoebe would help out, much to their delight. Lol.
Anyway, so now my hair is shorter. Although, I think the hairdresser put something on my hair to make it slightly straighter, or maybe it's just the way she cut it. Ah wells. My hair will grow back into its natural wavy self soon. And I realised I did get something like Rukia's hairstyle afterall. Lol. Not on purpose okay! >< Lol.
I guess I'll be working more tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan that is. I've gotta go take pictures of my exhibtion space soon. Prolly Friday or something. I'm in the midst of deciding a venue because my original one (The Substation) doesn't go with my exhibition theme. Prolly Opera Gallery though. Love that place <3 Then maybe after that, I can go Kinokuniya or something. I got $20 and I'm not afraid to use it! *Glee!* Lol. Or maybe Wooonderland <3 Ah wells. See first.
Other than that, nothing much. I don't think any of you wanna hear about Bleach again. I'm tired and too lazy to type anything else.

I managed to go to Mrs Yee's party on Wednesday. My mum actually didn't allow but she did in the end. I went alone but met Lesley, Petrina and Teng at Dhoby Ghaut when I was changing MRT lines. We kinda got lost. Fine, I have bad directional skills. Damare! )<
Anyway, the party was supposed to start at 1 but it only really started at about 2. Mrs Yee catered food for 40+ people when only 20+ people, including the officers came. Lol. But the food was nice :D We (the GB girls) played a few rounds of Polar Bear. Lol. Quite fun and rather amusing. Miss Toh came up with Win, Win or Draw, which was kinda like Pictionary and some talking game. Amanda Ang is pro! :D Lol. Overall, the party was quite fun, I guess. Sorry, I'm in no mood to recount and type so much. Thankfully.
In other news, nothing much happening. As usual. I progressed with my Higher Art essay. *Cheer* Albeit little. x_x I have yet to go down to my choosen exhibit location to take pictures. >< Artsy areas tend to be not so easy to get to. Well, to me anyway. T.T
As for Bleach, (didn't think you could escape, did ya?) I've reached the Bount Assault on Soul Society arc! ^^ I'm at episode 97. Where I left off was when the Bount are attacking the North Gate. Yay! Fillers are almost over. Thank goodness.

Er, most cosplayers make their costumes, waepons and accessories. Although some do get their costumes custom made. It's a hobby really.

I have started on my Higher Art essay. Finally. I went down to the library yesterday morning to pick up a few books on Andy Warhol. I had quite a hard time finding them. How can such a famous artist have so little books on him? Seriously, people is is Warhol we're talking about! )< Anyway, I've started reading some of his biography. I didn't know he was gay 0_o But most artists are either gay or die young. x_x Ah wells.
Did my annual cleaning of my room yesterday. I dumped out alot of stuff, which is quite an accomplishment ^^ I have a habit of keeping alot of things >< I realised how much stuff I actually had when my brother pointed out how much space it occupies. /: I keep everything. If you've ever given me anything, be it letter or pressie or note, I still have it. Seriously. Plus, event programmes and whatever not. Meh >< I've actually still a small pile of stuff waiting for me to sort, but indecisive me can't decide what to do with it ><

Yay! I finally uploaded the pictures I owe this post. Not alot actually...
Anyway, yesterday's EOY '07 Anime@Expo was so so awesome <3 *Faints* The 1 hour train ride was so worth it. As I was getting out of the station, I saw Goth Lolis everywhere. ^^ I met Joy at the Expo MRT station at about 1+. She had called the night before to ask if I was free yesterday because she was allowed to go out, so I invited her. ^^
We took some time to find the place because all Jasmine told me was "follow the funnily dressed people". Lol. But when we finally found it, Joy and I was freaking out at all the characters we knew. We queued for tickets and finally got in. I think we both almost died of excitement. Lol.
Then one of the stores in the event hall sold Urahara's hat. *Glomps* Too bad we didn't have enough money! ): We really wanted one. T.T We found Deanna, Vanessa, Hannah, Lauren and her sister at the same store. I was quite surprised to see everyone except Lauren. I think Lauren got absorbed into the manag waorld more after rooming with Cheryl, RK and Jin Yee.
Walked around somemore and we found Cyeo and her friends. Joy and Cyeo acted like they haven't seen each other for a million years. Lol. Cyeo's friends were like like 0_o Then Cherie called, so I told left Joy and Cyeo talking to find her.
It took me sometime to find her 'cause she was dressed Goth Loli. That's the thing about these events. Weird and normal totally switch places. After I found her and she introduced me to her friend, I tried to get her to meet with the others but Cherie being herself, didn't want anyone other than me, Jasmine and her friend to see her.
After walking around a while, Joy and I found Jasmine and her cousin. We got such a shock that we screamed so loudly that the people around us stopped to stare at us. Heh. >< Jasmine was like ><, her cousin 0_o and Cyeo's friend tried to act like he didn't know us. Lol. Jasmine had different coloured eyes, one side blue and the other hazel. Quite cool actually. I actually thought her cousin was a guy because she cosplayed as one and looked alot alike. Joy was wondering why she was so pretty. Lol. I keep forgetting I'm not in Japan anymore. Lol.
At about 2, the Team Cosplay Compeititon started. There were 5 items. The first one was Shaman King. They did a dance with poles. Lol. They looked rather nervous... But then there was quite alot of people in the audience. I took a video of this so no pictures.
The second was Trinity Blood. They only did a catwalk but their costumes wouldn't allow anything else anyway.
The third was SpongeBob and Patrick Starfish. Super funny. They opened with the Spongebob theme and danced along to Campre Fire Song song. Lol. Cyeo and I sang along! ^^
The fourth one was Trinity Blood. They did parodies of various animes according to the 12 days of Christmas. They had someone sing, then they'd act it out.
BANKAI! Lol. It had the whole crowd laughing. The voice sounded so much like Byakuya, I thought he was there 0_o I had looked away for a while.
The fifth was Ouran High Host Club. They did a skit and a song. They sung I wish you a Merry Christmas.
The sixth was some Nintendo DS game. I don't even own one so I had no idea what was going on.
After the performance, Joy got hungry so we went down to Burger King. Burger King didn't have their cheese stick thing. ):Plus, I was tempted by Orange Julius 'cause it was just next door. Bacon and Cheese Dog <3 It's been a long time since I had one of those but it's just so ex. T.T We made a pact over lunch that we'd cosplay after Os next year. It would be quite cool to cosplay as a few charatcers from one anime/manga only but Joy wants to be Hell Girl. I don't watch the anime, although I've heard of it. Red contacts ftw! ^^
I had a crazy idea to get 26 people together to be the Gotei 13's captains and lieutenants. ^^ But it's quite difficult considering I don't know 26 people who love Bleach and it would be hard to be a convincing cosplay if everyone's about the same height or something. I'm still having a problem deciding what to cosplay as 'cause Bleach is dominated by male characters... I think I'll just go get addicted to another anime or something. ^^ Lol.
We went back to the stores after that. Poor Joy had to endure me taking a long time trying to decide what to get. Heh. Sorry >< We bought a bunch of stuff. Mostly Bleach <3 (My computer refuses to let me upload pics D<) There was a 12 postcard Bleach set but I didn't have enough money. Almost just cried there and then. Lol. ><
Joy got Lesley's pressie there. Lol. I bought something for Jie! ^^ Went home at about 5.30 when the event ends at 6 -.- Stupid 1 hour ride >< Ah wells. I wonder who won for what category.

Yay! I'm up to episode 63. I say this with much joy because the arc is finally over. This means I can finally get on with my other stuff. Quite frankly, I find fillers rather annoying, but I have a habit of watching things in sequence. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm totally ditching Bleach. Heavens, no. It's just a break. Christmas cards and undone homework are calling! ><

Speaking of anime, I can't wait for the cosplay event ^^ I managed to move my tuition and get my mum to allow me to go and pay for admission. I currently only have $1 for the rest of the holidays. T.T Jasmine and her cousin are going as characters from Tsubasa Chronicle. Cherie is wearing a Goth Loli dress she bought from Harajuku. I might pull something together, if I can find any. T.T But I bought arm socks and a skinny tie from Japan. I'll make it work. Now, we just need Jie to dress up :D

Thursday:
I talked to Fan for about 4 hours until 2am the night before. Okay, morning. Lol. Haven't talked on the phone for so long till so late for a long time. ^^ It was a good catch up. I also found out alot of, uh, interesting things. Meh much ): Ah wells.
This morning's been, interesting, but that's another story. Fan finally came in the afternoon. I was beginning to wonder where she was 'cause she was 2+ hours late. -.- When she finally came, I went down to pick her and her mum said I look like a primary school kid. T.T She had maggi mee as usual. She made me sit with her 'cause she said my grandma was looking at her. I kinda expected it. My grandma's never seen her before so she's like a foreign entity in the the house. :D
We were supposed to do some studying but since my computer was on, we played online games. :D Well, mostly Fan. I don't game for a good reason. I suck at Diner Dash man. ):
Then she noticed The Girl Who Leapt Through Time on my table and asked me what it was about. Explained and she wanted to watch it. Ha! I'm going to get you addicted to anime man! ^^ That was the 3rd time I'm watching it but it's so awesome <3
She enjoyed in the end. Again. ^^ Makoto is very lovable anyway. Mostly, 'cause of her personality, but her expresssions are so funny. Especially her laughter. She was so happy that it was a happy (enough) ending. Now, you see why I'm lost. Lol. After the film was over, we watched TV and she went home.
My parents came home with the new computer. After dinner, my dad set it up. Spent most of the night installing and downloading programs. Speaking of which, reminds me that I haven't installed the one for my phone. I finally got started on my Sabbatical CD. My old comp kept giving me problems while I was trying to get it done.
Yesterday:
Went out at about 12.30 'cause my brother wanted to use the Popular card and I was supposed to run some errands anyway. Walked halfway to Toa Payoh and realised that I forgot to get The Girl Who Leap Through Time. T.T Went home to get it then walked to Toa Payoh again. -.-
Bought a CD for my Sabbatical homework and Hellsing Volume 1. I wanted to get Vampire Knight but I've read all the volumes that were there, so it was between Trinity Blood and Hellsing. I've read a little of Trinity Blood because Jasmine lent me the Chinese version but I gave up after the first few pages 'cause it was in Chinese. Heh. Hellsing was cheaper so I took it. (I was using my parent's money.)
Went down to get Old Chang Kee for my maid and down again to the video rental shop to return The Girl Who Leapt Through time. Wanted to borrow Tales From Earthsea, Trinity Blood and Paprika but they were all NC16 and I didn't bring my IC. The counter girl saw my ex-link and didn't allow. My brother was better, he wanted to borrow I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Lol. Finally I got Final Fantasy VIII. I'm so going to get my dad to rent those when we go! D<
Got back and was going to do some work when fiddled around with my comp and found Prime Suspect in HP games. The last time I played it was quite some time back when my brother downloaded it into his comp and the whole family was playing it. Called my brother over and we ended up playing various games from HP games. I don't really remember what we played 'cause I uninstalled them after we played. One time trial only. But we played for about 3, 4 hours. Well, okay I played the first half then he played the other half.
I read Hellsing during the other half. I can't believe Iread it in 1+, 2 hours. I don't really like it... Senseless violence and lotsa bad stuff. >< Although I think Alucard and Integra are really cool. ^^ I realise that this is the second manga I own. Yes, sad isn't it? Get me manga for Christmas and my birthday then it won't be sad! xD I'm going to use them as my venting mechanism next year 8D
After dinner, my brother downloaded a newer version of Prime Suspects and we played the 1 hour trial. My dad helped a few times but eventually went to do other stuff. After that, I wrote my Sabbatical CD. *Happily cancels it off my list* Whee! (:
Then my dad wanted to eat something so we had a "family outing" to eat Mr Prata. It's near CCAB. I had a butter prata. Quite good. My dad got Michael and I to eat mutton curry. It was quite good. Texture is like pork. My dad's been trying to get us to eat lotsa different meats. 0_o For a few pratas, the bill was quite high, but it was good ^^
Went home, watched Survivor China and then went to sleep.

I was late for contingent outing but so were the rest. Heh. I had some trouble finding the Christmas tree in Taka. Honestly, Taka to me is Kino, Art Friend/ Creative Hands, library@Orchard, Opera Gallery, Commode and Pull and Bear. Oh and the ton of great food you can get there! ^^ When I finally found Viven, she was with her mother. TY, Mel, Becky and Abby came not long after. In the end, it was only the 6 of us, out of a 18 people contingent. -.- Lol.
From there, we crossed the road to take a bus down to Cine. It was raining soI shared an umbrella with TY. We were very early so Cine was like a ghost town. TY went crazy when she saw that this restuarant was playing DBSK in concert. I didn't know that Dong Bang Shin Gi is DBSK. Heh. Ah wells,
We up to get tickets to see The Enchanted, while TY went to see her friends in K Box. I wanted to watch The Bee Movie, much to violent objections from Mel. Meh ): I'm left with $1 for the rest of my holidays now, so who wants to go out will have to be willing to treat. Or at least lend me money and let me pay you back next year. ><
We went down to Pasta Mania after that. Mel and TY treated all of us. Aww... <3 We all had pasta because we only had half an hour to meet. Beef Bologanese <3 Viven barely touched what they ordered 'cause they got a little sick of it. Blame the creamy sauce.
We were a little late and missed a little bit of The Enchanted. Mel, Abby and Viven were actually standing at the entrance watching until Becky and I dragged them to sit down. Lol. Becky and I were talking during some parts. Heh. :D The movie was okay, I guess? I think I've been watching alot of anime so everything else seems a little, boring, if that's the right word.
TY left to meet her friends after hugging all of us. She said she's going to ACSI next year... 0_o Smart kid la. I found out Mel's going to Australia next year ): But we agreed that we'd have another contingent outing next year ^^ The rest of us when to Meritus Mandarin's taxi stand to wait with Viven for her to go home. The queue was quite long but we were crapping and all so it was quite entertaining.
When she finally left, me, Mel, Abby and Becky went into Esprit, 'cause Mel wanted to. Honestly, she's just depressing herself. I like Esprit and all but it's just way too expensive. x_x She complained when I said that Esprit sold good black skinny ties. You should stop buying guys clothes. Apparently, it's bad enough that Caro does it. Lol. Sorry Teng. I told her we dress like artists :D She also said that if she didn't know me, she'd think I was "just some stupid emo kid". Well, sorry if my hoodie and Converse are black. Meh ): Ah wells.
Took an MRT home. Went to return rented VCDs. Bought chips fr my maid. Took a bus home. Re-watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. ^^ Chiaki! <3 I didn't laugh at Makoto this time. Lol. Although her bumping into things is kinda funny. Heh. :D

Saturday:
Was almost late for the meeting time in school but we left late anyway. I realised as we were abotut to board the bus for Zhangde that I left my headphones at home. *Face palm* I called home and found out it was sitting on my study table. /: Bought earplugs from Lesley. At first I thought I had gone deaf but Lesley told me they were a little spoilt. Phew. Lol.
Got down to Zhangde and Mrs Yee got all the Sec 3s there to help her with registration. Met some of the Sec 4s on the way there. Wished TY happy birthday again. Her birthday was a few days before and I wished her then but she seemed really happy that I wished and hugged her. Ah wells. (:
The goodie bags looked really light but they felt like they were filled with rocks. We all thought it was the waterbottles in them but when we finally lugged everything up to the hall, we found out it was 1kg of rice. I was carrying 10 bags. T.T Heidi was surprised that I could support such weight 'cause some of the Sec 3s spilt their load. Lol.
After the usual welcome and opening speech, Family Day really started. The Sec 1s and 2s joined the 10 a side games and the Sec 3s were supposed to support the Talentime. I was busy taking pictures using Amanda's camera for Pub Comm 'cause she was playing the games :D After the first few performances, on Mrs Yee's request (^^), I went around taking pictures. I dragged Lesley and Teng along but they were quite happy to leave :D
We went around to take pictures and kachao the Sec 4s 'cause they were station masters xD Went back up just in the for Nava and Heidi's performance. They were very nervous but they did a good job (: After a few more performance, Lesley, Teng and I roamed around again. We didn't play any games. I don't think any of the Sec 3s did. Lol.
We hung around Mel's station mostly 'cause she was about to tear her hair out. >< Her station was musical chairs but the people went moving. It was super fun to see them scrambling around 'cause they didn't expect me to press it. xD Teng was having a field day taking pictrues of those moments, Lol.
Lesley and I caught up with Mrs Ong. She kachaoed me about adding me on Facebook. ): I'm still in shock that she added me /: She said she felt old 'cause she taught us in Prirmary 3. Lol. :D We took a picture with her and I'm supposed to tag her on Facebook. Meh. ):
We wanted to play a round of musical chairs with our company only but we got herded to the hall for prize giving and whatever not. I left slightly 15 mins earlier than 12, 'cause it was quite boring. Heh. Changed at Tiong Bahru Plaza, then took an MRT down to Dhoby Ghaut. Got there 5 mins later than my meeting time with Fan, but she was still eating lunch with her brother. -.- We cut through Park Mall and walked to National Musuem of Singapore. I was quite pissed off 'cause we were already late and we didn't know how to get in. >< Thanks Fan for your quick thinking. Lol.
When we finally got there, we had to find the entrance. T.T Went down the the Gallery Theatre and collected tickets. I think 'cause we were late so they didn't need proof of identity. The guy who let us in seemed quite annoyed with us. /:
Since the movie had already started, the usher told us we could just sit in the front row so as not to disturb anyone. We went all the way up to realise our seats were on the other side. We ended up just sitting in the front row. Neck strain but slouching helps. Lol. :D
After the movie, Fan and I stuck around 'cause she was tired and I like the End Theme ^^ Walked from there back to PS. We had movie food for lunch 'cause we couldn't decide what to eat. Lol. The food court was empty and everything else was expensive. ><
Cheese suasage ftw! The nachos got abit disgusting after a while 'cause the cheese was watery. :S Halfway through lunch we realised we could have eaten Long John Slivers in the Basement, *Face palm* Ah wells.
Took the MRT home and was just in time for tuition. Tuition ended early 'cause my tutor was helping my mum with her foot.
Saturday:
My mum allowed me to go to MAAD in the afternoon. She seems to be more relaxed about me going out now. ^^ I guess she finally realised I wasn't going out to rob a bank or do drugs. Lol.
I took the MRT down to MAAD. While walking from the station to Red Dot Museum, I think I saw Miss Tan across the street. Yeah, the one that went to Japan. I regconise her hair and the way she walks anywhere but I could be wrong. I was so freaked out that she'd go to MAAD. But I think she was with her father and they went into Telok Ayer Park. Phew :D
Anyway, MAAD is still the same awesome place I went to a year ago. I realised the last time I was at MAAD so was the red dot design: product award. It was around this time too. Admission is free for the exhibition because of MAAD anyway. ^^
I walked round and round 'cause of the time if I stood at one store, I'd be the only one there other than the artists themselves. Plus, I had no money. T.T I have a habit of looking like I'm loitering. >< Lol. I contributed to the Christmas tree that was there! ^^ You're supposed to draw something on the paper provided and paper clip it to the tree. I drew an autumn tree with falling leaves <3 Yes, I couldn't think of anything better.
I went around to see the red dot design exhibits. Great stuff. Cool functions coupled with awesome design. *Dies*
After a few rounds, I (finally) stopped at one store, Whitedogbobby. Been a fan since the last time I was at MAAD. I got a chance to talk to Candy (Whitedogbobby's owner) cause her dogs weren't there. She was a blast to talk to. Well, okay, she was drinking but still quite sober. Well, enough :D Talked to her about art in general mostly. She was giving me the dish on some of the stories in her books. Lana. Lol. I ended up being at MAAD for 1 more hour because of her.
Most importantly, she gave me lotsa food for thought. Mostly, you must get used to people rejecting your art because who cares? Yeah, she's the kind your mum warns you against hanging out with and the sort that people always said never had a future but she loves art. She really loves it. She's at MAAD not for the money but for the love of art and because it's fun. Now, that's inspiration.
I talked to ag and chunz too. Also 2 really cool people. I make them feel old! :D They are the store next to Whitedogbobby, Pencils and Needles. Candy told me that the pair started out doodling in MAAD last year and after being egged on by some of the artists there, started their store. They were still in Poly then. x_x Both of them have awesome resumes too. Goodness, it's the stuff I don't even dare dream off...
Candy asked me to join OIC. Their portrait day was the main reason I went down to MAAD but I found out it was on Sat ): She said I could go down for their protrait days next year. All I gotta do is sit around and draw protraits of people. No realism, no rules, just your own style. If the person being drawn likes it, I get $8 for it if not, it's just practice. Nothing to lose, right? Plus, it sounds like tons of fun. But the artists in OIC are all professionals. x_x Next year is also Os year. *Kills Os in a very violent way* T.T
In the end, Candy gave me keychain with Whitedogbobby on it. I told her I was broke. Heh /: I also bought a silkscreen badge from Pencils and Needles. It's really tiny and costs me $3.50 but was worth every cent <3 Coffee cup head is ftw! :D Pictures soon.
Watched Evan Almightly at night. Graphics must've took ages, although they are really nice. Watching it made me wonder what the world was like during Noah's time. The actual dimensions of the ark is huge. Mind boggling how he built it all by hand.
Yesterday:
My grandma came not long after I woke up and had breakfast. I was supposed to bring her over with my maid but my uncle sent her instead. Things got a little chaotic 'cause there were so many people in my house.
My mum sent Michael and I to run errands for her. Mainly to change the rubber ends of my grandma's walking stick. I think I got off the wrong side of the bed 'cause I was quite annoyed by him the whole time we were out. Quite frankly, I'm not sure if he's 4 or 14 sometimes. He was using my grandma's walking stick to "attack" me. -.- T_T
Got home and chionged tuition homework. Tuition ended slightly earlier because my tutor was helping my mum with her ankle thing.
I finally got down to watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time after dinner <3 I thought it was a Studio Ghilbi film at first, but on closer inspection I realised it wasn't, so I Wiki-ed it before watching. Heh. Spoilt by Wiki but still a good film.
Makoto is so cute. Typical bumbling tom-boyish main character. Lol. ^^ Definitely different from Sophie (Howl's Moving Castle), Akari (5cm Per Second) and Chihiro (Spirited Away) But I was yelling at the TV 'cause she kept going back in time when Chiaki had something to say to her! D< Lol.

Today:
Woke up really early for tuition. Was rather grumpy 'cause I didn't get enough sleep and had to do tuition homework. ): She had moved tuition from tomorrow to today. Ended up going first because my brother went back to sleep. Meh. I didn't finish my work but my tutor was kind to me 'cause she knew I've been running around trying to make sure the house is still running.
Napped after tuition, then lunch. Alphabet pasta with pasta sauce and Paramasan <3 Left to get more gocceries from Novena but the NTUC there didn't have so I took an MRT down to Toa Payoh. But I took in the wrong direction 'cause I wasn't paying attention. Too used to going to Orchard by MRT >< I saw Sandra on the train back. The Sec 2 one from Drama. She was talking to her mum the whole time and her mum just looked tired. Lol. >< Bought everything and took a bus home 'cause I was lazy :D
Re-watched Howl's Moving Castle ^^ Michael kept annoying me during the first part but left afterwards. I almost fell asleep towards the end. Heh :D Call me a sadist but I find it funny when anime character cries. Lol. I laughed at Makoto and Sophie. It's just the way they cry. It's got this fake quality to it, plus the exaggerated way they do it is funny to. Yes, I am a sadist :D

I know I'm a day late but better late than never! Yesterday was World AIDS Day and I remember doing a post about this last year because I was sitting in front of the TV then, watching MTV promoting AIDS awareness. I'm not sure why but something in there prompted me to do a post. The rest, as they say, is history.
This year's theme is Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise - Leadership. The number of people living with the disease is mind-bogglingly huge. As Gordon Brown put it, we have overcome smallpox and polio, so why not AIDS?
